Maximising sales of the bags.

There are several layers to this opportunity:

It's worthwhile to reward your good customers with a free bag the next time they purchase from you. When you do so, take advantage of the moment to thank your good customer for coming to your Pharmacy.

When a customer purchases a lot of items in one go, offer them a reusable bag with your compliments. You may be pleasantly surprised to see the customer top up their purchases even more!

Train your staff to offer the bag at 'the subsidised price of $1.00' every time a customer buys.

Finally, make sure you have some bags on display in front of the cash-out area & not just behind the till.

When we first started stocking the bags, we build a display in the middle of the store by using an old bag stand and filling it with hanging bags. This created a 'now launching...' atmosphere in the pharmacy.
